LAWMAKERS WANT TO END SPECIAL ELECTIONS IN NEW JERSEY

The New Jersey Senate approved a bill Thursday that would put a stop to special elections to fill congressional vacancies.  The bill calls for these seats to be filled in general elections.  Governor Christie is expected to veto the measure.
