LAWMAKERS PUSH TO GET SPORTS BOOK IN NEW JERSEY

The push is on to get sports betting in New Jersey. A non-binding referendum showed that New Jersey residents overwhelming want sports book. Congressman Frank Pallone has already gone on record to say he will author a bill to get an exemption in the federal law to allow sports betting in New Jersey. Only four states are allowed to have sports book. Legislation must also pass through the Senate and Assembly and signed by Gov. Chris Christie to allow that type of gambling in the state.
