LAWMAKERS ASKING FEDS NOT TO PERMIT OFFSHORE DRILLING NEAR NJ

Lawmakers from New Jersey and other states are now collectively asking the Department of the Interior not to permit offshore drilling for fuel near New Jersey.  Senators Cory Booker and Robert Menendez have been joined by other officials in a joint request not to follow through with the President’s plan to drill for oil near the Garden State, citing environmental and tourism concerns.
