LAUTENBERG: ATLANTIC, CUMBERLAND JOIN CAPE IN DECLARATION

Cape May County received a federal disaster declaration relating to the big snowstorm on December 26th, 2010 that dumped two feet of snow on the region. Now, add Atlantic and Cumberland counties to that list. Senator Frank Lautenberg announced on his website that both Atlantic and Cumberland counties join Cape May County on the federal disaster declaration list. A total of 13 counties are part of the declaration following the biggest snowstorm of this winter season. The storm dumped 26 inches of snow in Dennis Township, and many other Cape May County communities received nearly two feet of snow. The funding means state and local emergency management agencies will be able to recover federal dollars as a result of the crippling storm.
