LARE DISPUTES MUA’S CLAIM OVER SURPLUS

He isn’t buying it. Lower Township Deputy Mayor Kevin Lare told Coastal Broadcasting that he disputes the claim that there is less that $1 million in cash surplus by the Lower Township MUA. Council had asked for $163,000 to help lower a proposed tax increase. Lare said the number he got of an over $4 million surplus came from the MUA’s auditor. MUA turned down council’s request, citing the less surplus and upcoming projects.
