Sheriff Gary Schaffer told Coastal Broadcasting that children will eat the same meal as an inmate for breakfast and lunch, plus be given a tour of the facility, and they will spend 20 to 30 minutes inside of a jail cell.
The program is scheduled to be held one to two times a month, and will take no more than 10 participates. It is set to begin in early July.
