JUDGE REF– USES TO STOP PENSION AND BENEFIT REFORM

Legislation that will force public workers to contribute towards their health benefits was upheld by a judge. Union lawyers were in Superior Court saying that the 1.5 percent contribution was a tax on public employees. The judge dismissed that notion and agreed with the state that the employee is contributing towards their health benefits. Union representatives promise to move forward with their lawsuit.
