JUDGE: NEW JERSEY CAN TAKE BEACH PROPERTY TO BUILD RESILIENCY

A judge has ruled that yes, New Jersey can condemn properties in two New Jersey beach communities to widen the beach and build resilient dunes.  A Superior Court judge ruled in favor of the state in connection with 60 properties in question in both Bay Head and Mantalooking.  NJDEP Commissioner Bob Martin hailed Thursday’s decision.
