JOBLESS RATE STAYS THE SAME IN THE GARDEN STATE

7.1 percent for two months in a row.  New Jersey’s jobless rate remained unchanged last month despite 3,700 jobs being cut from the private sector.  New revised data released this week shows that the state actually gained over 6,000 jobs in January; the initial report showed a job loss during the first month of the year.  The public sector showed a modest job growth adding 1,200 new jobs.
