JAWS OF LIFE CALLED IN FOR EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP ACCIDENT

Two were injured in a two vehicle accident in Egg Harbor Township. Police there say the crash took place on Zion Road at Old Zion Road, around 4:25 p.m. on Thursday. A vehicle operated by Marleen Prouty, 74 years of age from Northfield, was making a left turn onto Zion Road from Southbound Old Zion Road when she failed to yield to traffic on Zion Road and the crash occurred. Both Prouty and Howard Thompson, 67 years of age from Egg Harbor Township, from the other vehicle, needed the jaws of life to be extricated from their vehicles. routy was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus trauma center with moderate to serious injuries. Thompson was transported to the Shore Medical Center with moderate injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
