INVESTIGATION ON-GOING INTO PLEASANTVILLE SHOOTING

Authorities are searching for a suspect or suspects who shot a 23-year-old man in the face and forearm on Wednesday night in Pleasantville, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor Office.

Pleasantville Detectives responded to the Marina Del Rey apartments at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Main Street for a report of shots fired at approximately 10:45 p.m. last night. Upon arrival, detectives discovered the victim who was later identified as Christopher Scott, of Pleasantville, suffering from two gunshot wounds, one to the right cheek; the other to the right forearm. Detectives notified the Prosecutor’s Office Shooting Response Team detectives who responded shortly thereafter, stated Prosecutor’s Office Sgt. David Weiss.

The victim was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, where he was listed in stable condition as of last night.

Pleasantville Detectives are conducting the investigation along with members of the Shooting Response Team.
