Cape May County is going to privatize another portion of its operation. This time the Home Health Agency is going to be privatized. County Administrator Steven O’Connor told Coastal Broadcasting that the county will be saving about $1 million in the first year alone by this move. Cape Regional Medical Center and the Visiting Nurses are forming a group to take over the operation of the agency. O’Connor said that the 24 employees losing their jobs have been offered work within the county, but that this new operation will also offer employment to those that are losing their jobs as well.
