HISTORY: REPUBLICAN PRIMARY VOTING NUMBERS IN CAPE MAY COUNTY

Voter turnout may play the key role in deciding this evening’s republican primary battle for two freeholder seats that will be available in the November election. Here is a brief, recent history of the republican vote totals in primary elections in Cape May County:

2009: 8,203 republicans voted, 30.4% of registered republicans. Race included governor, assembly candidates
2008: 6,234 republicans voted, 22% of registered republicans. Race included United States Senate.
2007: 3,123 republicans voted, 13.1% of registered republicans. Race included assembly, freeholder candidates.
2006: 4,999 republicans voted, 19.3% of registered republicans. Race included United States Senate.
