HEATWAVE PREDICTED TO LAST THROUGH SATURDAY

The current weather of heat and humidity in South Jersey is predicted to last through Saturday. On Wednesday the heat index reached 100 degrees in Sea Isle City, so shore communities are not exempt from the oppressive conditions. Doctors warn that the high heat can be perilous for infants, the elderly and those with chronic medical conditions. Children and pets should never be left in parked cars for any length of time during a 90-degree day.
