HEAT ADVISORY ISSUED FOR TUESDAY AFTERNOON

The Nation Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Tuesday from noon until 5 p.m., for Cape May, Atlantic and Cumberland Counties and most of Delaware. Heat Index values are expected to reach up to 109 due to temperatures in the mid 90’s and dew points in the mid 70’s. The excessive heat will increase the risk for heat-related health issues, especially for the elderly and those with chronic health problems such as lung and heart disease. Children and pets should never be left unattended in a vehicle under any circumstance, as a car interior can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
