HEAT ADVISORY ISSUED FOR SOUTH JERSEY

As heat and humidity continue to ramp up this week, the National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Cape May, Atlantic and Cumberland Counties on Thursday from noon until 8 pm. Temperatures are expected to be in the low to mid 90’s with heat index values from 102 to 106 degrees. If possible, outdoor workers should reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening, and take frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke and drink plenty of water.
