HAMILTON TWP. POLICE OFFICER SERIOUSLY INJURED IN ACCIDENT

A Hamilton Township police officer was seriously injured Friday evening when a drunk driver from North Carolina hit his patrol vehicle that was stopped while he was doing traffic control.  Police say Officer Rudolph, no first name provided, was diverting traffic from Route 322 when his parked vehicle was struck by a car driven by Isaiah Muhammad Smith of North Carolina.  Smith was charged with drunk driving, and other traffic offenses.
