HAMILTON TOWNSHIP TURNS DOWN MONEY TO HIRE NEW POLICE OFFICERS

An area township turned down money to hire two police officers. Hamilton Township officials say they turned down the three year grant because of concerns about how to pay for those officers once the grant runs out. The money was coming out of the Community Oriented Policing Services program, which is better known as “COPS”. The vote was unanimous.
