GROUND BREAKING ON PARKWAY LIGHTS UP TO 18 MONTHS AWAY

80px-GSPkwy_Shield_svgThe lights on the Garden State Parkway might not be down in the near future. State Senator Jeff Van Drew said that the state is projecting to break ground in the next year to 18 months. The date for ground breaking continues to be pushed back. Van Drew said the current issue is over DEP issues with wetlands that could be damaged from access roads that would need to be built for the work. The project has funding, but is tangled up in red tape.
