GOVERNOR: STATE COULD GO BROKE SOON

225px-ChChristieNew Jersey Governor Chris Christie says the state could go broke unless his sweeping reforms to property taxes are not adopted.  Christie appeared at a town hall meeting in Robbinsville on Thursday and told the audience that if his plan is not adopted, the state will go broke, and no one will be able to afford to live in New Jersey.  Christie put the burden squarely on the shoulders of the democrats who control the state legislature, saying they have to go along with his plan.  Christie’s plan includes caps on annual property tax increases at just 2.5 percent.
