GOV. MURPHY LOOKING TO PHASE OUT PARCC TESTING

On Tuesday, Gov. Phil Murphy said he wants to phase out the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers exams, known as the PARCC tests. Murphy wants to drop from six to two the number of PARCC tests required in high school. His administration has significantly reduced the percentage of weight used by the exams to evaluate teachers. New Jersey students must pass the PARCC tests in order to graduate.
