GIROUX AND BOUCHER LEAD FLYERS INTO 2ND ROUND

The Philadelphia Flyers were missing two key players in Game five, and didn’t miss a beat. Brian Boucher pitched a shut out and Claude Giroux was in on all three Flyer goals. Danny Briere scored first for Philadelphia on the power play in the first period. Claude Giroux scored twice in the 2nd period, including a power play goal and assisted on Briere’s goal. The Flyers take the series 4-1 and now wait to see who they will play in the next round.
