GAY EX-COP FILES SUIT AGAINST CAPE MAY

The Press of Atlantic City reports that an openly gay former police officer who was fired in 2013 from the Cape May Police Department has filed a suit against the city. The report says Steven Pascal is suing the City of Cape May, Police Capt. Robert Sheehan and other officers, claiming discrimination and seeking monetary damages. The report says the city claims no rights were violated and that it acted in good faith. The suit is currently in the discovery process, and both sides are demanding a trial by jury.
