FREEHOLDERS SUPPORT PLAN TO MAKE MORE SEAFOOD USABLE FOR THOSE IN NEED

County freeholders have supported a resolution that will make more seafood that is caught available to those who are hungry and in need.  The process is called “gleaning” and would put a percentage of seafood that is discarded back into the food system to help those who are struggling.  More than 1 million State residents suffer from food insecurity.
