FOUR CUMBERLAND RESIDENTS CHARGED IN DOG FIGHTING NETWORK

Four residents of Cumberland County were charged along with five others in connection with a dog fighting network that stretches from New Jersey to New Mexico. Charges that could carry five years in prison were filed against Vineland residents Anthony Gaines, 35, Lydell Harris, 30, and Tiffany Burt, 34, along with Frank Nichols, 39, of Millville. In addition to the charges from the Department of Justice investigation called “Operation Grand Champion”, about 66 dogs were rescued and being cared for by the national Humane Society.
