FORMER SENATE PRESIDENT PASSES AWAY AT 72

A former powerful state politician died just prior to the weekend. Former New Jersey Senate President Frank Dodd died on Friday at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He died from an unreleased illness. Dodd served in the Assembly from 1966-1970 and in the Senate between 1972-1982. He was a former acting governor during his time as the Senate president from 1974-1975.
