FORMER BRIDGETON COUNCILMEMBER ACCUSED WITH STEALING FROM HOUSING AUTHORITY

A former Bridgeton councilwoman is charged with stealing more than $20,000 from the city’s housing authority while she was an elected official.  Gladys Lugardo-Hemple is charged of stealing the money out of an account at Ocean First Bank; she allegedly put the cash into her personal account.
