FORMER ASSEMBLYMAN SENTENCED FOR THEFT

A former assemblyman has been sentenced in theft case. Former state Assemblyman Al Coutinho was given three years probation. The money was supposed to go to charity but Coutinho was found to be putting the dollars in his own pocket. Back on Sept. 11, he resigned his office, just days after he announced he was giving up his reelection bid.
