FORMER ASSEMBLYMAN GETS FIVE YEARS FOR CHILD PORN

A former state assemblyman has been sentenced to five years in prison. Neil Cohen got the sentence for child pornography charges. Cohen is eligible for the state’s Intensive Supervision Program, where he could serve only three months of the sentence in prison. Cohen has tried to kill himself and is being treated for depression. He was an assemblyman for over 16 years.
