FORMER ASSEMBLYMAN FOUND NOT GUILTY OF CORRUPTION

L. Harvey SmithThe state’s attorney general’s office was delivered another blow on Thursday. Former assemblyman L. Harvey Smith was found not guilty of corruption charges. This is the second case in a row that the state failed to get a conviction. Before that, the state have a 10-year success record in corruption cases. Smith was accused of taking two cash payments from an FBI informant.
