FORECLOSURE FILINGS DOUBLE IN NEW JERSEY LAST YEAR

The recession hit New Jersey’s housing market hard in 2009. New data released shows that the state had twice as many foreclosure filings last year compared with 2008. Meanwhile, there was a 163 percent hike in unresolved cases. The backlog remains high from the higher than usual foreclosure rate last year.
