FLOOD INSURANCE BILL CLEARS THE HO– USE

A major bill that would ease flood insurance premium increases for Jersey Shore homeowners has cleared the House.  The bill was approved overwhelmingly on Tuesday evening and it allows people who sell homes the opportunity to pass on their lower premiums when they sell their homes.  The bill also puts a cap on how much flood insurance rates can increase each year.  The measure now gets voted on by the Senate.
