On Wednesday, members of the Wildwood Fire Department along with several other communities including the U.S. Coast Guard, assembled at Morey’s Mariner’s Pier for the first day of training for high-angle rope rescue for target hazards. Instruction was given by a firm from Bellmawr, NJ, involving “real-life” scenarios of civilians and workers trapped on stalled rides, in need of high elevation rescue. Training continues on Thursday on the Sea Serpent coaster and other rides.
