FIRE STRIKES SOMERS POINT APARTMENT COMPLEX SUNDAY MORNING

An fire early on Sunday morning damaged at least five units at the Somers Point Village complex on Somers Point-Mays Landing Road. The fire struck at about 2 a.m. and six area fire companies responded to the call. There were no fatalities but reportedly two people were treated at an area medical facility. More than 30 people were left homeless, including 12 children, who received assistance from the Red Cross.
