FIRE CONTINUES TO BURN AT WHARTON STATE FOREST

A fire likely caused by lightning has been contained at the Wharton State Forest.  The fire started on Sunday and took out nearly 2,000 acres of the forest.  Roadways near Hammonton were closed Sunday night due to smoke from the fire, but have since reopened.
