FAMILY DISPLACED DUE TO RESIDENT FIRE

Hamilton Township Police logoEarly reports of an oven fire has forced a family to be displaced. Hamilton Township Police say that they responded to 2809 Forsythia Crt. in the Woodlands for a oven fire. Upon arrival, all tenants were out of the residence. Emily Fernandez came to the police and advised that it was her apartment. Fernandez advised that she was cleaning the oven, when it began making a popping sound and then boom it just exploded. Fernandez advised she got her family out and went next door to the neighbor and called 911. The fire was contained to the kitchen. The dwelling suffered smoke damage and kitchen interior damage. The Fernandez family was displaced and would be staying with family members in the Woodlands.
