FALLEN OFFICER REMEMBERED BY LOWER TOWNSHIP

Monday marked the 19-year anniversary of the death of Lower Township Police Officer David Douglass, who was killed in the line of duty. Douglass lost his life in an exchange of gunfire while pursuing a man who burglarized a home, then set it on fire. A memorial service was held on Monday at the Townbank Fire Hall and township flags were flown at half-staff to remember Douglass, who was also a firefighter.
