ETHICS PANEL DISMISSES COMPLAINT AGAINST SWEENEY

A state ethics panel has unanimously dismissed a complaint against New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney.  The panel rejected a complaint filed by republican United States Seante candidate Murray Sabrin that Sweeney sponsored a bill in Trenton that would implicity benefit a workers’ union.  The panel ruled that the bill would benefit many unions, and not just one that Sweeney has been involved in.
