ELDERLY COUPLE RESCUED FROM HOUSE FIRE BY MIDDLE TOWNSHIP POLICE

Two Middle Township police officers helped rescue an elderly couple from a house fire in Rio Grande early Saturday morning.  Police say officers Mark Bakley and Shawn Rocca gained access to the home located on Holly Drive and helped escort two elderly residents out of the building.  The two adults had been sleeping at the time of the fire; there were no reported injuries.
