DRUNK DRIVER HITS MAILBOXES, CARS IN LOWER TOWNSHIP

Lower Township Police have announced that multiple charges have been filed against a Rio Grande teenager following an drunk driving related incident Sunday morning.  Police have charged 19 year old Roy Perez-Heredia of Rio Grande with drunk driving and other offenses after his vehicle struck several mailboxes and parked cars in the Erma section of the township early Sunday morning.  Police say his 2007 Mazda hit several mailboxes and parked vehicles before winding up in a marshy area at the end of Breakwater Terrace.  Perez-Heredia had left the vehicle and was found walking nearby.  He’s also been charged with two counts each of failure to report an accident and leaving the scene of an accident.
