DRUG SWEEP CAPTURES SIX IN ATLANTIC COUNTY

Atlantic County prosecutor Ted Housel announced today that five men and one woman were arrested on Thursday during a narcotics sweep throughout the county.  Three men and the woman were arrested at the Somers Point Village Apartments in Somers Point. Leroy Harris, 33, and Samuel Harris, 31, were arrested on cocaine possession in one apartment. Robert Freeman, 28, and Alexis Suarez, 20, were arrested in another apartment in the complex on cocaine and marajuanna distribution charges. Robert Payne, 25, was arrested at the Budget Inn on Route 30 in Absecon. He was charged with second-degree distribution of cocaine. The arrests were made after a four-month investigation involving the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and Somers Point Police.
