DRIVER WHO’S SUV WENT OFF LOCAL BRIDGE GETS A TICKET

A motor vehicle citation has been given to the local teenager who drove her SUV off the Corson’s Inlet Bridge on February 2nd.  The Press of Atlantic City reports that 18 year old Nicole Crudele of Sea Isle City has been given a ticket for careless driving in connection with the accident.  Police told the Press that Crudele was driving over the posted speed limit on the bridge, hit the steel grate, and drove through a guardrail, sending her vehicle 30 feet below into the water.  Crudele and her twin brother Michael both survived the accident with only minor injuries.  As a result of the accident, emergency repair work has been authorized for the railing system on the Corson’s Inlet Bridge.
