DRIVE THRU FLU CLINIC THIS SATURDAY

Cape May County logoMark your calendars for October 23rd and get your free flu shot. The Cape May County Department of Health is holding its popular drive-through flu shot clinic for everyone 14 years and older on October 23rd from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kindle Ford Autoplaza in Cape May Court House (access Kindle Ford from exit 9 on the Garden State Parkway).  Only one drive-through flu shot clinic is planned for this year.

Freeholder Gerald Thornton said, “Getting your flu shot each year is the best way to protect yourself from getting influenza.”   Thornton added, “The drive-through flu shot clinic is a quick way to get your shot and get on with your weekend plans.”

For everyone’s safety, you must bring a completed consent form for each person receiving the flu shot. Consent forms are available at www.cmchealth.net, at the Department of Health and are in several local newspapers this week.

When coming to the drive-through, people should leave their pets at home and wear short sleeved shirts so the nurse can easily reach the upper arm. Also, residents who need assistance with transportation to get to the drive-through clinic can call Fare Free Transportation at 889-3700.
