DILLER HOME FOR BLIND CHILDREN DIRECTOR GETS MAJOR STATE AWARD

The director of the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children in Avalon has received a major award from the State.  Emily O’Donnell has received the 42nd New Jersey Hero designation from Mary Pat Christie, the Governor’s wife.  Christie says O’Donnell helps provide these children with a vacation they would not otherwise receive and also learn important life skills for the future.  The Home is sponsored by the Avalon Lions Club.
