DESIDERIO: CHRISTIE MAKING RIGHT MOVES FOR STATE'S TAXES

Gov. Chris Christie put out a press release this week saying how a number of South Jersey mayors support his tax plan that includes a 2.5 percent cap on increases in property taxes. Coastal Broadcasting spoke to Sea Isle City Mayor Len Desiderio, who was one of the men listed on that press release, and he elaborated that he believes it is time to reign in spending. Desiderio said that for too long both parties have been abusing the system and a new set of rules needs to be put in place to protect the taxpayer. Other local mayors who support the plan include Avalon Mayor Marty Pagliughi, Lower Township Mayor Mike Beck, Wildwood Crest Mayor Carl Groon, and Woodbine Mayor William Pikolycky.
