DEMOCRATS PULL IN FIRST COLUMN ON BALLOT

Democrats will control the first column in the November election. The Cape May County Clerk’s Office released the drawing information. Democrats will be on column one, Republicans on column two, and Independents on column three. Therefore, State Senator Jeff Van Drew, Assemblyman Nelson Albano, and Assemblyman Matt Milam will have the first position, which is thought by some to be an advantage.

There was also a drawing of position for candidates on the ballot. The results of that are below:

CANDIDATE POSITIONS:
Dennis Township Committee (Vote for Two)
Republican:  Column #2
Brian W. Teefy – first position
Frank L. Germanio, Jr. – second position

Stone Harbor Council Member (Vote for Two)
Republican:  Column #2
John G. Leisenring – first position
Thomas E. Cope, Jr. – second position

Nomination by Petition:  Column #3
Joselyn O. Rich – first position
Karen M. Lane – second position
