DEMOCRATS FAIL IN BUDGET VOTE, STATE SHUTDOWN POSSIBLE

Democrats in the New Jersey Assembly have failed on their first attempt to get a budget approved before Friday’s deadline. The budget needed 41 “yes” votes, and received only 24. 35 members of the Assembly didn’t even bother to vote on the democrats’ plan.
