DEMARZO DEFENDS ACTIONS, SAYS CITY DID NO WRONG

Wildwood Mayor Gary DeMarzo said he did not break the law regarding his actions with the police department. DeMarzo spoke with Coastal Broadcasting and said that he has been very careful to consult with legal  representatives over the actions he has taken. DeMarzo acknowledged that the commission form of government is more hands on than others, and he was pushing for the council-manager form that was shot down by voters on a ballot question.

Wildwood Police Chief Steven Long filed the lawsuit against DeMarzo and the city for breaching the Police Chief’s Bill of Rights. The lawsuit still hasn’t been assigned a judge.
