DEFENSE MOTION DELAYED IN MANCO TAX FRAUD CASE

On Monday the U.S.District Court granted a 30 day extension to attorneys for the owners of Manco and Manco Pizza to file a defense motion. On April 14, Mary Bangle and her husband Charles, owners of three Manco and Manco locations, pleaded not guilty in Camden federal court to one count of conspiracy to evade income taxes, five counts of income tax evasion and one count of making false statements to the IRS. The indictment alleges that the Bangles committed tax fraud by concealing $981,000 of income in a personal checking account. The US Attorney’s Office has not yet set a trial date for the couple.
