DECISION EXPECTED ON FLOUNDER SEASON

Today is the day the New Jersey Marine Fisheries Council is expected to announce the limits for the 2011 summer flounder season. Local anglers are hoping the state agency will increase the length of the season and lower length requirements. In 2010, the summer flounder season did not begin until May 29th with a legal size limit of 18 inches.
